Sobering reality re law firm

Date: May 25th, 2012 1:12 AM Author: Chest-beating house Tonight, i think it really sunk in that I'm at a pretty crap law firm. That being said, I think im in a good position but I really cant trust anyone...
I found out from two stealthed co-workers that my firm gives one week paid "severance". how shitty is that? and also, rumor is that its totally a eat what you kill system, where the ones that bring in money and have big billables get the $$ and others go to shit. this includes partners. unfortunately, unless i maintain high billables going forward, i am at a risk of getting laid off myself.
