Came here to post this.
Fairly high level junior athlete regional aau trophies and medals out the ass in various combat sports, repeat high school state champion athlete, never broke a bone nor suffered any major heath issues until playing usta tennis. Within two years of picking up the sport I had a grade two calf muscle tear, followed in my third year by the worse injury I've ever dealt with in a severely torn meniscus.
Beware of tennis if you are the sort who loves to dig it out when you're competing at sports and if you really enjoy doing high physical work rates when you play sports, because tennis is a slayer of bodies.
