Zelensky is sitting on that fat 50 billion dollar check he just got from the G7 loan based on frozen Russian assets. 50 billion dollars in direct aid that Ukraine can use to buy what it chooses is probably worth 150 billion in aid passed by Congress. Most of that goes to the US military or manufacturers.
And once that 50 billion runs out Europe will have a lot of money to hand out- Germany should get rid of its constitutional debt limitations which have hindered aid so far.
Ukraine is probably ok cash-wise until summer 2026 or so and Trump can't force them to the negotiating table even if he doesn't give them shit. Especially since drones are so cheap to manufacture. |
