Authorities issued an urgent advisory today after confirming that Colorado’s largest rattlesnake mega-den, previously thought dormant, has reawakened with "disturbing ferocity."
"We’re seeing unprecedented levels of snake activity," said state wildlife biologist Travis Grumm. "Frankly — value your life, or nah — you might want to stay indoors."
Witnesses report thousands of rattlesnakes pouring from crevices along hiking trails, suburban parks, and even corporate campuses.
"We thought it was a flash mob at first," said Boulder resident Marissa Feldman, before realizing the participants were venomous and rapidly advancing.
Officials advise avoiding outdoor activities, wearing knee-high bite-proof boots, and "seriously reconsidering any notions of rugged individualism."
At press time, conspiracy theories blaming the phenomenon on "DEI initiatives" and "the Jooz" were spreading rapidly on local message boards.
