The choices to deal with our national debt are to massively raise taxes, massively cut spending or to have the Fed print money to buy our bonds and inflate it away. The third requires no political courage, so it's inevitable that the DC powers that be will one day install a Fed Chairman who will fire up the printing press at a level never seen before.
