I'm thinking of switching jobs and new hospital might be OK with 1099 where they pay a little more instead of giving me w2 benefits(health, 20k 401k match). It would make no sense to do 1099 for most intents. But for Puerto Rico I could open a solo corp, Pay myself 1/2 salary as w2. And the rest would be taxed at 4%. And any stocks also taxed at 0%.
