got licensed at a comm college and worked as a pharmacy tech in high school because it made $18/hr
the pharmacist was this old guy who shuffled around constantly muttering "death to smoochy" that D- Robin Williams movie from the early 2000's

yeah but they don't need to. you can get a license in most places with a bs. pharmd is an extra year or two of clinical studies and can get you into fancier hospital type stuff, but most of the retail guys are bsers.
edit: just realized i may be out of date. noticed my local pharm school doesn't even offer a bs anymore, but the state will still license you with just a bs.
anyway 90% of these people should be replaced by vending machines. there have been trials that show they make fewer errors.

a friend of mine from HS is a pharmacist in the small town I grew up in.
very low CoL there. she paid off her mortgage in her early 30s. she lives a stress-free life and is extremely comfortable. its not a bad gig if you have decent people skills and can deal with monotony in your job.
