Second, you can order a guiness and it takes too fucking long to pour. Third, they were charging me like 12 Euro for a fucking Guiness pint. It was total bullshit. If you do go over there, skip the pub, and find yourself a little chipper tucked into a corner and get yourself a proper Irish meal. |

To me the whole huge draw of Ireland is (i) once you leave Dublin, it's obviously a little tourist-y in spots (lots of tourist shops selling made-in-China Ireland tshirts), but its otherwise like you're going back in time, (ii) incredible naturall beauty, and (iii) very small size and just as safe and easy to get around and navigate as the US.
