1. Congestion pricing won't do anything to reduce congestion, most cars in MFH are Ubers and taxis which are exempt from the fee. It's just one more tax on white people.
2. The NYC government actively *causes* congestion by putting pointless bike lanes on every big street.
3. All money taken by the government is wasted. This is a bailout for the fiscally failing MTA to pay for bloated pensions.
4. The subway is disgusting and full of dangerous niggaz and nobody wants to take it.
5. Congestion pricing (and bike lanes, etc) is the pet project of the Jewish billionaire founder of Tower Research (high frequency trading hedge fund) who wants to ban all cars from NYC.

Have you ever lived in NYC? The density and diversity always already force everyone to do this. You can rent in a nice building - oops, the developer agreed to some low-income units to get the permits, your unemployed neighbor likes to get high and dance loudly at 3 AM, nothing you can do about it unless you want to be branded a Karen and fired from your job. Law firm partners making $6M/year ride the subway and have a finely-honed radar for which car is least likely to have a feces-encrusted bum camping in it, because the alternative is waiting around for an Uber and sitting in traffic and they have places to be. If congestion pricing takes some cars off the road, they will be cars belonging to random morons and free up some space for people with money to get to a destination in a reasonable time.
Also MTA service quality is probably not completely insensitive to money spent. Like yes huge amounts are wasted and stolen, but x cents/dollar actually go to reducing delays and increasing train frequency which makes the subway a tolerable way to get around.
Yes of course everyone with sense who doesn't make tons of money moves out of the city when they have kids. Nevertheless NYC does not seem to be running out of people.
