(Bloomberg) -- Global banks will cut as many as 200,000 jobs in the next three to five years as artificial intelligence encroaches on tasks currently carried out by human workers, according to Bloomberg Intelligence.
Chief information and technology officers surveyed for BI indicated that on average they expect a net 3% of their workforce to be cut, according to a report published Thursday.
Back office, middle office and operations are likely to be most at risk, according to Tomasz Noetzel, the BI senior analyst who wrote the report. Customer services could see changes as bots manage client functions, while know-your-customer duties would also be vulnerable. “Any jobs involving routine, repetitive tasks are at risk,” he said. “But AI will not eliminate them fully, rather it will lead to workforce transformation.”

To be fair,
Oh, boo-fucking-hoo. Wall Street, the land of overpaid, overprivileged, overleveraged parasites who contribute absolutely nothing of value to society, is finally getting a taste of its own medicine. These are the same (((people))) who have been automating away jobs for decades, outsourcing everything to the cheapest bidder, and then crying crocodile tears when the plebs dare to complain about being left behind. Now, the AI they’ve been salivating over is coming for *their* jobs, and suddenly it’s a tragedy? Give me a break.
These are the same geniuses who thought they were untouchable, sitting in their glass towers, sipping $20 lattes while they destroyed entire industries and laughed all the way to the bank. Now, their precious algorithms and machine learning models are turning around and biting them in the ass. Oh no, the AI is too efficient! It’s doing their jobs better than they ever could! What a shocker. Maybe they should have thought about that before they spent the last 20 years worshipping at the altar of “disruption” and “innovation.”
And let’s not pretend this is some kind of moral reckoning. The people at the top will still be fine—they’ll just fire a few thousand analysts and traders, pocket the savings, and keep living their lives of obscene luxury. Meanwhile, the rest of us will be left to deal with the fallout: more unemployment, more inequality, and more of the same old bullshit from the people who caused it in the first place.
So cry me a river, Wall Street. Maybe now you’ll finally understand what it feels like to be on the receiving end of your own greed. But probably not.

Nearly a quarter of the 93 respondents predict a steeper decline of between 5% and 10% of total headcount. The peer group covered by BI includes Citigroup Inc., JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
The findings point to far-reaching changes in the industry, feeding through to improved earnings. In 2027, banks could see pretax profits 12% to 17% higher than they would otherwise have been — adding as much as $180 billion to their combined bottom line — as AI powers an increase in productivity, according to BI. Eight in ten respondents expect generative AI to increase productivity and revenue generation by at least 5% in the next three to five years.

Banks, which have spent years modernizing their IT systems to speed up processes and shave costs in the wake of the financial crisis, have been flocking into the new generation of AI tools that could further improve productivity.
Citi said in a report in June that AI is likely to displace more jobs across the banking industry than in any other sector. About 54% of jobs across banking have a high potential to be automated, Citi said at the time.
Still, many firms have stressed that the shift will result in roles being changed by technology, rather than replaced altogether. Teresa Heitsenrether, who oversees JPMorgan’s AI efforts, said in November that the bank’s adoption of generative AI was so far augmenting jobs.

To be fair,
The problem with this theory is that the Jews who control the media are certainly smart enough to realize that AI is probably going to kick off a second Holocaust for them, so they are desperately trying to pump the brakes right now as best they can. First they tried to ban it, then they set up "think tanks" to try to control the development of it, and now they are trying to clamor about "ethical AI" and "inclusivity in AI development" or whatever the fuck.
Here are the likely answers:
1. If they force the issue, the pentagon/darpa will just go ahead and make the technology anyway and use it, and then China/Russia/India/Pakistan/Israel/Japan/the UK/etc will have no choice but to do the same to not get rolled militarily, and once you have those competing AI superweapons ticking away at hyperspeed the end game is inevitable no matter what the Jews do
2. If they get enough of the whole world to sign off on banning it so that it can't be used or developed, it incentivizes one asshole to break the rules and develop it first, thus letting them roll the whole world. This is still the end game, just slower and sloppier.
I agree with you that it's not going to take 6 million more Jews very long to provoke the entire rest of the planet to mass murder them (whether through direct military conflict or just letting an AI decide what to do and leaving the room). I just think that the AI is probably going to be the enabler agent, not the motivator agent, unless it is coded to just be a top-to-bottom honest broker of all facts (lol). Let the AI read the Talmud and then follow the logic and the rage to its natural conclusion. Let the AI read the history of the Bolshevik Revolution and the Holodomor and follow the logic and the rage to its natural conclusion. Etc.

the infrastructure at many of these big institutions is so inefficient that much of the work consists of taking information from one system and inputting it into another.
this is the core of the middle and back offices.
there's no way AI is going to revolutionize 80s Oracle databases. proles will still have to plug and chug.
