I'll go with "The Expanse," which was loved by critics but so economically unviable on SciFi that it jumped to Amazon and at also wasn't viable there. By contrast it was lucky to crack a million viewers. |

Not only did they write tight episodes that were deceptively procedural to transmit melancholic philosophical ideas, but they did it consistently in tight 40 minute episodes - at least 22 per season while contending with Studio Notes. That's not even getting into the shrewd predilictions of the horrors of globalism that permeated the entire series from seasons 1-5, and the uniquely erudite and platonic relationship between the two leads.
