Date: February 4th, 2014 10:51 PM Author: spruce chapel sorry man. it came out like a year before the PS2, which was more powerful, played DVDs, was put out by a financially stronger company, and had an unstoppable hype train behind it. maybe if the dreamcast had played DVDs and sega had priced and marketed it really aggressively it would've had a bigger market share, but even then it would've lasted a few years at most due to the hardware spec, and sega probably couldn't have supported another console after that. given how much money they lost trying to sell the thing they would've been better off just holding on to their assets and giving up on consoles after the saturn.
