Nah I'm c/o 2011. I realize it's difficult out there but spending 3 yrs unemployed would be insane. At some point you have to take some really shitty job, which I'm sure most people did.

Classmate of mine just copped a job last week. He was the last 2011 unemployed I knew of. Know several 2012s still looking.

2010 friend of mine finally opened a solo practice this year after doing doc review while still hoping for a firm gig.

No it wasn't. More people copped BIGLAW in c/o 2010 than 2011. Plus even the people who had offers revoked at least copped dat nice SA gig. C/o 2011 didn't even get that exp.

Class of 2010 was not the lowpoint. Mean percent of class placed in firms of 101+ and federal clerkships for the T14, by year:

2010: 65.8%

2011: 56.7%

2012: 64.2%

2013: 65.6%

2010 peeps had offers then had those offers revoked, leaving them utterly fucked once the smaller gigs had filled up. at lease 2011 peeps who never got biglaw offers in the first place still had a shot at smaller gigs

Those are the numbers 9 months after graduation. OCI for Class of 2010 people was actually decent, but I agree they got megafucked on revoked offers. The 2010 numbers are probably down 10-15% from the CLass of 06-08, but unfortunately schools didn't start the mandatory full ABA reporting in this format until 2010.

Lol you think smaller gigs have shit like SA? You were at no disadvantage in getting a smaller gig, and if anything at an advantage, because you copped an extra resume line.
