That’s probably the worst part about it. You don’t need any of that crap in the first place. So why are you there buying shit up?

Also, how many of you have bought something at Costco’s and then there was too much of it so you had to eat more than you wanted or make more than you wanted to and it was all a waste?

the trick to staying thin is to keep next to zero food in the house, let alone massive Costco quadruple-size bags of potato chips, etc.

when you get hungry enough, just go to a restaurant.

Costco is half the price of grocery stores where we live so don't really give a f. If it goes to waste, which it rarely does, we still saved.

You’re fat and stupid and doing it wrong. At first we overbought at Costco but now we know what we actually use and what we actually need and how frequently we go through things, so we can shop smartly. It’s far cheaper to shop smartly at Costco than to buy the same stuff at a grocery store. Just don’t go wandering the aisles of Costco and buy a 10 pound bag of trail mix you think would be fun to try because you’re a fatso.

I agree with your sentiment.

You have to be EXTREMELY careful at Costco's. You have to price check EVERYTHING. The store is full of landmines. Tons of stuff that seems like a good deal, but isn't. Tons of crap that nobody should ever want or use.

You have to be an expert user of Costco's and know what's up with your local grocer too. We don't really use Costco's for any kind of produce or dairy products. Generally I won't get meat there, but sometimes they have cuts that aren't readily available at the grocer--like cuts of lamb. Grocer always beats Costco's on price on meats like steak and quality is so much better. Costco's trimming just flat sucks and they are ripping you off on the weight. They are also ripping you off on the quality of the cuts and the price. Grocer has better quality, better prices, and better trimmed products that aren't going to price gouge you because you take it home and have to cut off another 10% before you can cook it.

Costco's is great for things like casual clothes, paper products, some one off pantry items, obviously the whole pharmaceutical aisles are just a big huge waste of space, etc. It's insane. Costco's does have some savings, but it's a buck here and a buck there, and maybe you save $20/trip, but its a hassle to go and you have to pick through the crowd and all the items on offer and it's all about the hunt.

IF YOU GO IN WITH THE GOY MINDSET OF "IT'S COSTCO'S SO EVERYTHING IS A GOOD DEAL" YOU WILL GET SKINNED ALIVE

yeah. you just need self control. even if you buy the 10lb bag of trail mix just eat it like a normal person. in the age of foodapps you have food temptation available at your fingertips 24/7.

whether i have a 10lb bag of trail mix from costco or a 1lb bag from the grocery store, i eat the same amount of trail mix. buy the 5lb bag of doritos at costco. just don't eat the whole fucking bag in one sitting.

Costco is 180 for your food budget if you do it right. Big staples -- quality meat, frozen and fresh wild seafood, cheese, organic fresh and frozen produce, even stuff like avocado oil-based condiments, canned stuff, and organic dried fruit -- are usually high quality and a fraction of the price per unit compared to other places.

The only impulse purchases I've made at Costco are random clothes (picked up a 180 windbreaker for like $17) and random exotic fruits when they have them.

Also great for alcohol if you regularly consume that toxin.

Costco is horrible on produce/meat. Prices aren’t competitive with the local grocer at all. Quality is way, way subpar too compared to the grocer. All produce and fresh meat/seafood must be bought at the grocer. You’re an idiot to suggest otherwise. I don’t eat too much crap thats frozen first. We do get cashews at Costco’s as those can be had for a song ($12.99 instead of $19.99) for the large packs. And cashews make a delicious crème.
