Shitty-life-situation pumo here, evaluate my short-term goals.

Date: May 11th, 2012 11:30 PM Author: Mentally impaired boltzmann 1. Get a job. Absolute priority right now. I'm gearing up to work two full-time jobs (or three part-time, if needed).
2. Find a place to live. Beggars can't be choosers, but if I can find a small quiet place, that would be awesome.
3. Work on building marketable skills. Use my spare time time to pursue a certificate in accounting, IT, or insurance. It's hard for me to know which programs are worth it, and I'm hesitant to spend any more money getting a useless degree (I already spent six years on a useless bachelor's). Any suggestions here would be awesome.
4. Keep my health up. I've been on a regular exercise program for about two months now, and it's helping me stay energized, positive, and focused. I already know that my health makes it easy to slip into depression.
5. Lease a car.
6. Volunteer on a political campaign. It's an election year, there are a couple of close races in my area, and I know a few people who can get me onto an (unpaid) position. Mostly considering this for the networking benefits and also if I end up succumbing to law school.
7. Date a few girls.

I don't know where u live or what your options are, even financially. I'm going to focus on somewhere that's about a third of monthly salary at most. Probably look for an older roommate too. I'd ask my friends, but most have moved away from this shithole. |
