There was no actual run on the ruble or on the banks inside Russia which is all that Putin actually cares about. Russian banks are not only still solvent with $25 oil but still profitable. He doesnt give one fuck about the nominal exchange rate. Russian imports from the West are already down like 83 or 87%. Its an insane figure but life continues on pace. They cant afford iPhones and no one is rioting in the streets. They DO NOT CARE. The Russian mindset was built for this kind of shit. They almost get off on it.
