Date: January 24th, 2025 9:08 PM Author: UhOh 1, government isn't out to turn a profit, and 2, because hiring is so cumbersome, it needs to be staffed to the worst case scenario. which rarely happens, so yeah a lot of people are sitting around waiting for things to do. there are some government jobs that are just a never ending stream of processing, but many professionals/SMEs are more like fire fighters than factory workers. private business would fire those people ASAP because it's bad for the bottom line, but it could also turn around and hire them ASAP if it was profitable. At least where I work, we deal exclusively with lib shrews 50 years old or up, younger Shaniqua’s, and then a white gunner sitting on top of all of them. Projects take years, literal years, to get sign off. Requirements requests are inconsistent from month to month. But it is pretty sweet because my team doesn’t have to do jackshit most days because of how long it takes for them to approve any piece of work.
Trump is 100% justified in firing more than half of these people. |

And that 50% came before their time in the field. So a lot of them were like 50% WFH / 40% at a taxpayer's business or home / 10% office. |
