listen to calming music/white noise to allow your brain to relax and stop thinking about stuff and slowly doze off

Taking magnesium at bedtime seems to help a good amount. It's probably the mildest supplement/medication you can take for this.
I'll occasionally take melatonin if I'm struggling. Just 1mg though. A lot of the supplements have far higher concentration and that seems like a dangerous path if 1mg works.

when i need to sleep and got no sleep i force myself to stay up until 6pm then eat a sleeping pill
wake up back on cycle
