any path to that would involve a prolonged social and cultural trend, and that's what you're being dismissive of. there is no possibility that some handmaiden's tale revolution happens tomorrow. it would require making society more conservative and traditional until the conditions are such that it's possible.
to borrow your chemo example, it would be like suggesting chemo as a cure for cancer while chemotherapy drugs have not been developed yet. |
