Creating a retirement thread is basically pointless, mostly because poasters think that they will be missed when they go pumo and scramble their passwords. In reality, they might as well be talking to a brick wall. No one actually cares if they leave. However, I feel that it is still necessary to tell the users of this board what xo did for me.
AutoAdmit convinced me to not enter the legal profession. After reading so many horror stories and some serious self-reflection, I decided that I was headed to law school for all the wrong reasons. Thank you for that. This board also helped me realize that I was not an enlightened, mature dude, but rather a typical ITE college graduate who was rapidly becoming just another rage-filled dork because life was not working out the way I thought it would. I became convinced to stop being such a sadsack, hit the gym, and enjoy my 20’s. As a result I am a much happier dude now and in the best shape of my life. I am now leaving my dead-end job and taking some serious risks in life.
As much fun as this board has been, I have come to the realization that in order to keep growing as a person, I need to beat my internet addiction and stop being such a misanthrope. Therefore, I am forced to never read or poast on this board ever again. I know it’s for the best. I don’t want to end up saying, as one poaster phrased it, that “I spent the best years of my life posting on a racist chatblog” (http://www.xoxohth.com/thread.php?thread_id=2100944&mc=3&forum_id=2). You may also feel the urge to scramble your password once you realize that this board is not a window through which you are viewing the world, but rather a mirror you have been staring into for years.
