What is your financial retirement goal?

I doubt I'll stop lolyer'ing, but it would be nice to know that I'm doing it because I want to and not because I have a family to provide for financially.

then again, not sure it makes sense to do that. i've known partners who are part-time and they're never really part time. they're just underpaid because they wind up billing like 1400 hours when their target is like 700 or whatever.

I think I'll rent my house out for 6 months to a year once I officially retire (when my 8th grader graduates).
I can live really well off my 50K/year tax free VA money without ever dipping into my actual retirement accounts. I'll probably do a SEPP or something once I officially retire, and re-invest that money into hookers and blow.
In 5 years, assuming the stock market doesn't completely crater (It's going to completely crater), I should have around $2M in retirement accounts and my home paid off. Pretty sure I'll be fine.
Advised my dotter to marry rich and my son to never marry. |
