I'd do it for $2,656/day or $969,440 per annum. I did some math. I would need:
$72/day to cover the expense of purchasing the car
$15/day to cover insurance
$96/day to cover fuel
$8/day to cover oil changes
$14.25/day to cover tires
$2000/day to cover me (this is just $250/hr x 8 hours)
$350/day for hotel room
$100/day for food
I would then pick up any other costs that I would encounter along the way. Anyone who says some number less than this is crazy.

There's nothing in the hypo that says how fast you need to drive. You could cut expenses significantly by getting an EV and driving really slow so that you can go 8 hours without having to charge. In the dream scenario, when you are done driving, you plug into a free charger somewhere, so the cost for fuel is zero. But if you had a home charger where you pay 10 cents per kWh, that wouldn't be too bad, either. You can avoid paying for a hotel by turning on camp mode and sleeping in the back of the car. At that point, you are only paying for food, insurance, and tires. Honestly, if I could get a Tesla with FSD where I could just stick an iPad on the steering wheel and watch movies all day, this could be pretty 180.

A lot.
I don't think I could be a truck driver. Just too much time where you have to be constantly zoned in to the task at hand with no internet
