Date: December 3rd, 2025 2:26 PM Author: maroon glittery police squad public bath A lot of people were mad about the Super Nintendo when it came out, and thought Nintendo was just ripping people off. The concept of console gens hadn't really been established yet.
"You already HAVE a Nintendo! Now you need to buy another one??" |

Date: December 3rd, 2025 2:27 PM Author: aromatic ebony elastic band No fucking way. Either this is the worst mandela effect ever or that shit was $199.99, just like the NES was in the 80s. Basically every mainstream console was $199.99 until PS1. (http://www.autoadmit.com/thread.php?thread_id=5805765&forum_id=2#49480374) |

Date: December 3rd, 2025 2:30 PM Author: maroon glittery police squad public bath The NES was released in several retail bundles throughout its commercial life. For its 1985 American test launch, the initial offering was the Deluxe Set, which retailed for US$179.99 (equivalent to $530 in 2024) and included the Control Deck, two controllers, the NES Zapper light gun, the R.O.B. robotic accessory, and two Game Paks: Gyromite and Duck Hunt.[5] Ahead of the console's nationwide launch in 1986, Nintendo introduced a basic Control Deck set with two controllers, bundled with Super Mario Bros. for US$99.99 (equivalent to $280 in 2024).[93][94]
Most people bought the basic $99.99 one. Lol that the expensive one didn't even come with SMB so you had to shell out for that too.

Date: December 3rd, 2025 2:40 PM Author: flushed candlestick maker I still remember seeing a kid with an SNES and Genesis, playing Mortal Kombat II on each system side by side. It was a fucking Joke - the SNES version was basically arcade perfect, while the Genesis version was.... well... very "Genesis-y"
I wont even get started on the comparison of Street Fighter II |

Date: December 6th, 2025 12:20 AM Author: Outnumbered Really Tough Guy The Genesis version has less input lag imo, and the badass soundtrack is superior to arcade. 32X version is even better with larger sprites. The perfect version. (http://www.autoadmit.com/thread.php?thread_id=5805765&forum_id=2#49487795) |
