Almost got into massive brawl at Costco’s with silver head gen x freak

Just taking up space. There’s a ton of people. Queues extend way back into the warehouse both for check out and door check. Anyway, I get through checkout and I’m coming out Checkout Pointless at the door. Some dickwad and his wife are in front of me. Kept stepping back into my cart. Then the dude kicked my cart. Guy was like 220. Maybe 5’11. Silverback locks. Guy was wearing sunglasses and a zip up Patagonia vest. I said, “Hey dude watch where you’re going.” Then he accused me of running into him. I told him to “Shut the fuck up.” Then he escalated and starts scolding me. Someone in the line next to me chimed in like I was in the wrong. Said “watch where you’re going you hit my wife!” I just said, “Hey gramps. Stop it. I pay for your social security you pathetic loser.” It was getting really heated. He shouted some obscenities and walked off. I was going to call him a cuck, but you never know if these GenX assholes are packing heat.

Also, we were exiting to the parking lot so this guy's truck was basically right there. He was very heated. I don't like taking shit from people, but I have a wife and children to provide for so I do know when to back down a bit. In this situation I just walked away and quit engaging with him. I'm not a super risk taker when it comes to my life. |
