Do you married bros miss the ability to take long stretches of solitary time?

I’m naturally an introvert and usually fill time after work with personal pursuits: reading, lifting, learning more about machine learning, crypto, etc. I could easily do this for years with no human contact and be fine with my own mind.
But the wife wants ATTENTION every waking HOUR and sometimes it just grates on me. Sure I’m happy to watch some Netflix or cook dinner with her or whatever for an hour or two, but IMO demanding that multiple evenings per week be spent 6-11 with HER HER HER seems a bit unreasonable.
And don’t get me started on weekends.
Anyone else feel this way? |
