One of the interesting things the he talked about was that with libs stuff, you kind of live with it in a place like LA and you don't think much of it. Once you physically remove yourself from a place like that, and you're not really around lib stuff on a regular basis, it's striking when you have to deal with it. The point was made in context of talking to our buddies who are still back in the old country. He said that he tried to talk with one of the guys, saying basically that you don't have to live like this (i.e. super political, gay rights, etc. etc.), and our buddy reacted really negatively to it.
I don't know the point I'm trying to make, it is just strange listening to my old friends back there who are still libs. Personally, I wonder if they just get stuck in libs thinking because they just haven't really been meaningfully exposed to other ways of thinking.
