US youth soccer has the infrastructure to develop top level talent.

Look at 15 year old phenom Cavan Sullivan. He played for youth club FC Delco and was then picked up by the Philadelphia Union. Manchester City own his transfer rights when he turns 18.

Look at Christian Pulisic. He played at PA Classics until he was 16 and then signed with Borussia Dortmund.

Really most of our top talent played their academy years at a club playing in the 2 leagues I mentioned or the now defunct US Soccer Development Academy league.
