Messed up that I don’t care my wife’s dad died?

Talked about how I’m a shitty provider and lazy because we don’t have the same size house as them in rural North Carolina (I live in fuckin westchester). Nice guy when I met him but he told me to move to the south even though he doesn’t get the concept of nyc job market vs rural NC. Never helped us with even a penny.
I hate that I have to waste my 4th of July week at this fuckin funeral. Normal? I told my wife this and she’s still cool with me and sort of gets it but she feels sad. |
