Many guys are losing their balls and teeth as well. One former d-1 athlete bro of mine (Notre dame grad like me) actually grew a tooth on his balls. Young, athletic guy.

We need to shut this shit down.

Seriously, are you dumb? This is probably the most tracked respiratory virus ever, which enables the media to identify weird outlier cases to get clicks and scare neurotic orthodox jews. You could say the same thing about the flu.

Man-bites-dog syndrome

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Publication_bias#:~:text=Publication%20bias%20is%20a%20type,publish%20or%20otherwise%20distribute%20it.

Publication bias is a type of bias that occurs in published academic research. It occurs when the outcome of an experiment or research study influences the decision whether to publish or otherwise distribute it. Publishing only results that show a significant finding disturbs the balance of findings, and inserts bias in favor of positive results.[1]" [6]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man_bites_dog

The phrase man bites dog is a shortened version of an aphorism in journalism that describes how an unusual, infrequent event (such as a man biting a dog) is more likely to be reported as news than an ordinary, everyday occurrence with similar consequences, such as a dog biting a man. An event is usually considered more newsworthy if there is something unusual about it; a commonplace event is less likely to be seen as newsworthy, even if the consequences of both events have objectively similar outcomes. The result is that rarer events more often appear as news stories, while more common events appear less often, thus distorting the perceptions of news consumers of what constitutes normal rates of occurrence.

The phenomenon is also described in the journalistic saying, "You never read about a plane that did not crash".[1]

>> While the results of the study suggest that brain complications could be more common among virus patients than first thought, experts said it didn't mean that brain damage cases were widespread.

"The scrutiny that the pandemic attracts means it would be very unlikely that there is a large parallel pandemic of unusual brain damage linked to COVID-19," said Anthony David, director of UCL's Institute of Mental Health. <<

The team looked at the neurological symptoms of 43 patients hospitalised with either confirmed or suspected COVID-19.

They found 10 cases of temporary brain dysfunction, 12 cases of brain inflammation, eight strokes and eight cases of nerve damage.

oh what a sample size!

well, it's not a "mild flu" -- probably the best comparison would be a "dangerous but not historically bad flu"

but if you're looking at a sample of people hospitalized for, among other things, having strokes, you're naturally going to see neurological symptoms

doesn't mean that there are widespread neurological issues caused by the bat flu
