David Crust is a senior in high school. He’s awkward. He’s hideous. When he was younger he was subject to no less than a dozen surgeries that resulted in him having aluminum plates all over his body. His one eye was replaced by a wood eye. Half of his face was missing, now aluminum. All of the skin on his arms and legs were missing, now aluminum. The top of his head had the tin man top (no explanation).

*David Crust walking alone through the football field gets leveled by Tomas Utopia*

Tomas Utopia was at football practice and immediately apologizes. He stands up and helps up David Crust. Thomas Utopia is a 5’10 younger Zack Efron (body, face, eyes and hair) look alike who was playing football and knocked over David Crust.

Crust gets up and is 6’4. Thomas Utopia immediately is in awe of Crust’s height!

They become great friends. Crust immediately falls for Utopia’s prom Queen beautiful GF, Julia Lataza.

Utopia is a three star athlete and going to college on a lacrosse scholarship. But once he gets to college he realizes he’s too short to succeed in various social circles.

Crust, who looks like Tin Man from wizard of Oz, falls in love with Julia. As Julia goes to college and realizes she can no longer being around her “Utopian Boyfriend” out of fear of being ridiculed that he’s too short, she befriends David Crust (working community service near her college after a misdemeanor peeping tom (no pun intended) conviction). They begin to fall in love.

Will Julia be loyal to her boyfriend or will she seek out her “Vertical Crust”? Oh does she have a decision to make.
