Date: July 6th, 2020 10:51 PM Author: splenetic lascivious library azn idk. i used to do that a lot. then i realized that i'm more concerned about my own presence than anyone else is with mine and there are more important things to worry about. i can tell irl that i easily can make people feel uncomfortable and awkward. it's mostly due to my mannerisms and jittery-ness but i can also be oblivious to social cues and speak out of turn or make a joke no one gets. i also speak extremely fast and have a lot of anxiety when i speak (my heart races and stuff) when addressing people i don't know too well.
try not to get emotionally dragged down by negative thoughts about yourself and focus on things you actually can change that will improve your situation (things you can do to help yourself socially without fundamentally changing who you are). it took me years of carefully observing others in social situations to be able to mimic their mannerisms etc. in order to improve my own social presence. |

I'm weird as fuck, but I don't act weird as fuck at work.
And socially, it depends on your peer group.
If you live in ARE Country and are friends with a bunch of 115 IQ people, it may not be good for you socially.
But if you life in a big city and have friends who are all 135+ IQ, it's perfectly acceptable -- even preferable -- to be wierd as fuck.
