Full ride first year (as per statute in TX, valedictorians get this), parents paid for second year, scholarships were so huge that they paid for third and fourth years (some were scholly holdovers from freshman year that I didn't actually need thanks to TX giving me a full ride that year).

First trip was in high school - this was the one my parents paid for. "Paid" means "drove from Texas to Mexico with me."

LS was loans + scholly + personal savings + jerbs.

My wife and I, as a married couple, have never paid more than $1000 a person for round trip plane tickets.
