in CA you need a muzzle break and not a flash suppressor to avoid the AWB. cops occasionally look carefully since it can be hard to tell the difference sometimes - until you are deafened by a muzzle break.

Generics are fine if you don’t have rim brakes. Much bigger delamination risk in that scenario.
