i have a client that owns hospital systems around the US. they are in chapter 11 and likely will be in chapter 7 soon.
one of their systems is in providence. it is centimeters from being sold. would have been sold two years ago but their shitlib govt delayed shit for months and months.
the sale is contingent on the sale of about $150 million in bonds. a month ago, the bonds were already sold. they go to the market in a week or two. i highly doubt they'll sell, so a community hospital serving mostly indigent people is going to close and 3,000 people (many of them living paycheck to paycheck) are losing their jobs due to the foolishness going on in DC rn. and those people probably won't be able to get new jobs because we are about to start hearing about mass layoffs.
