In source it also wasn't really comp viable due to being able to block off passageways with shot objects

I think its initial run was globally like 52/48 split or something so it was about as balanced as de_dust2 but with much more dynamism

Outside of play around B point d2 really does not have much going on besides "long corridors"

It was probably the second best instance of player driven content in our time (WC3 custom games being 1) Lot of maps sort of like that with ZE_ or tag type game modes ported over them. Odd cop RP stuff, persistent saves on certain servers, most of it is still up if you ever want to try it

It's a grey and green pixel hunting fest inside of a castle that somehow manages to be lifeless and over-decorated at the same time

Overpass is just imbalanced (although I think they fixed it at some point after I stopped playing. It's a tournament regular now)
