she's incredibly devoted, quite hot, and a great cook (important because I hate cooking and housework). tolerates my (extreme, bordering on unhinged) idiosyncrasies better than I can imagine anyone else doing. has been unfazed by multiple life circumstances that would have had others bailing fast.

only woman I can tolerate a conversation with >15-20 minutes.

all in all, I have no complaints.

I've known mine since mid highschool, and didn't initially plan to even date her. By the time I decided to, we'd already known each other for years and she was already pretty devoted.

If you'd asked me beforehand, I wouldn't have credited her as much resilience as she's had. I think it mostly has been a result of the following:

-- she already knew my faults before we started; nothing was a surprise

-- she had and has complete faith in me, and so far it's been well placed

As someone who's been married for 10 years, living with wife and sharing finances for 15, I would strongly advise any male children of mine to not wife.

My wife has aged and gained weight for no reason other than poor impulse control and she attempts to insert herself into decision making solely based on impulse and emotion. I get that woman are children and need to be treated as such but its unnecessarily grating and annoying to deal with day in and day out.

In the meantime my market value has significantly increased from a dating perspective and I'd probably do far better if I were to divorce now. Only problem is divorce is going to cost me 7 figures.

I get the desire for companionship but this can be done without marriage. I get many women will demand marriage... fine... get an ironclad prenup then.

She's not very worthwhile as a mother, does literally nothing for me or to make my life easier, and her "career" is currently a net drain on finances since she make less (post tax) than our childcare costs.

That all said, would 100000% marry her again because she has good genes to pass on to male offspring -- which what matters most.

And, on a plus side, she is attractive, stays in shape, exercises every day, has good genes for aging, never nags or hassles me, is comfortably in the bottom 5% for crazy (for a woman), and we met in college.

If you can find (1) good genes for babydoods, (2) attractive, (3) in shape, and will stay in shape, and (4) not crazy -- you're doing better than 99% of bros and should lock it down.
