I know that most, if not all, ID work is TTT trash. However, I noticed that some V100 firms have insurance related practice groups and subgroups.

Are there any firms which are focused on Insurance matters that are considered prestigious?

it's better than shitlaw but typically not as good as other complex litigation.

Seems like pretty limited subgroups of BIGLAW, which surprises me because of how large the insurance industry is, and how closely tied to the finance sector it is.

Things like 9/11 and the Gulf Oil Spill throw off some legitimately interesting insurance work but, as a general matter, insurance work seems pretty lame, even at big firms.

Insurance coverage litigation can be very interesting and profitable. The kind of work that someone like Barry Ostrager at STB does is as interesting and complex as any biglaw litigation.
