They already have decided they want you. Unless they are overly-sensitive, they are not going to start looking at someone else just because you asked that question.
When I asked, they either said, how about this or no, we don't. They never took away the offer. |

otoh, it really is kinda crazy how much a firm makes off you. you will probably bill around 2k hours, so even at a relatively low rate they are making hundreds of thousands off you. |

75K is good though. I was offered $50K when I knew they could have offered higher- their job ad said so. In this economy, there will be others willing to go for less , and ur salary will increase too. Compare similar salaries for firm type/size in ur city, none of us know anything about ur firm |
