Why does Twitter make it annoying to download video/spaces from its site?

they don't just package videos into a single 'container.' their vids partition the mp4 video file from an m4a audio file, and their audio files are streamed via an m3u playlist in small chunks.
both are downloadable, but it's not nearly as direct as something like youtube's system.

you don't need code to pull the vids. just a program like jdownloader or ffmpeg to merge files.
