I assume you'd lose consciousness due to random tissue cells in your brain being so fuct. But if you were at just the right distance from the blast zone it could be wild ride for the first minute.
Here's what's happening: subatomic particles are flying fast as fuck through everything, just pentrating metal and concrete and destroying cell walls, like tiny 0.223 rounds. Cells that get hit start dumping their innards and lose all function. If all your heart and brain tissue cells get shot you're dead, but what if only 10% get shot? That's still 10% of your body tissue that's dead, but it's normally distributed across all tissues in your body. That's what it's like if you're too far away but not far enough from the blast, and there's not enough fire to kill you.

what? They breathed dust with the most unholy shit in it. The dust just sat there in their tissues and fluids, exposing them to the largest and deadliest particles that travel the least distance from the source. The alpha
Gamma would have threatened the liquidators on the roof. By that time there was no dust
