Yeah what's your point? Chinese open weights models are 180 in general in that they exist and can be ablated into heretic models and run locally for cheap. But noone is going to use any of that crap for anything legit.

I don't think so because some American tech firms are actually trying to compete in this space too, and that number will grow. Google and IBM are very much in the game, for example. They have a long term strategic plan to stay competitive in a field where the product is given away for free for a reason
