It's one thing for the MCAT to take much more effort to prepare for than the LSAT (years of science courses vs. nothing), and quite another for it to be more rigorous.
I don't think it's appropriate to adjust for effort when comparing scores. |

If you raise your LSAT from 170 to 178 that can be the difference between MVP and HYS. Most medical schools use the MCAT strictly to set a minimum cutoff. If you don't meet the cutoff, you are an autoding, but if you meet the cutoff, then scoring above the cutoff doesn't help you that much. And the low 30's is good enough to get you into all but the best schools in the country, and mid-30's is good enough for probably any school other than maybe WUSTL.
