I think if europe doesnt explode, we can limp along without layoffs until after the election, but if we fail on our debt ceiling and tax cut showdown, I think that could be the final straw and there could be real layoffs again.

If you do NY biglaw and want to save any modicum of money, that means youre living in a small one room eating ramen just to pay off your loans. And by the time you quit biglaw you will still have over 150k in loans.
