Also, blacks from HYS almost always have a 3.5+/165+, yet I don't see them in smalllaw or midlaw. |

Are you dumb? Biglawyers may be clever, but you don't need to be clever to be a biglawyer, it's just an artificial obstruction to limit the supply of attorneys. It's not working all that well either, they're still oversupplied.
Fact of the matter, 'g' is an arbitrary restriction (like it is in most fields barring theoretical physics) on a field that could be performed adequately by an orangutan with a copy of a Nolo book and a suit.

There are exceptions in IP/patent law and other things that involve subject area knowledge, but law is mostly accounting with bigger egos and less job security. |
