This thing always pissed me off. I took it three times, twice with the PSAT and once as a standalone exam. Some of the questions were FUCKING arbitrary every time. They've made this a part of the real SAT, right? So it now has a significant impact on people's college admissions cycles. Fucking TTT.

At the time I took the exam, I had not been accustomed to responding to short answer questions in a very limited period of time--with the result that I scored a 760/800 (-2) on the Multiple Choice and a 7/12 on the Essay. The final score ended up being 700/800.

I'm livid about it to this day, and I know that I'll have to retake the SAT if I'm to pursue a career in Consulting.

I got a 12/12 on the essay that shit was 1. useless for admissions decision making (imo) 2. so ridiculously easy it does not merit further discussion.

i got a 178 on the LSAT, which was instrumental in getting into harvard law school, which was in turn instrumental in getting several enormously high paying, and effectively permanent, jobs

about 400 people before you have tried being pissed off about getting a 750 or 175 instead of an 800 or 180 as a way of trying to fashion a genius identity on the board. i'm pretty sure none have succeeded; and you're on the lower end of even these crappy efforts.

Edited OP to prevent this reading of it. I don't care what people here think about me. It didn't even occur to me that it would seem I was posturing because of the other threads that were up at the time and because I don't have a username.

from what i've heard, most colleges don't take the writing portion that seriously unless you take a massive shit (like under 500 or something along those lines).
