If you take away the branding the aesthetic is crap in my opinion. And I’m not sure about the long-term prestige over a Scotty. I know a putter is mostly jewelry for a golfer but I’ve always been fine being understated and people that know, know about PLD Pings.
But mostly, I just didn’t like how the ball rolled with it. The Ping was a revelation in comparison. Had so much confidence in my line. And the all-black is beautiful imo. |

Then I got CT1 sensors to screw into the back of my clubs and the Super Stroke grip didn’t work on them. I even fucking drilled into it to make them fit but after a few weeks, the sensors fell off. Then I still didn’t want to spend money on a new putter so I got it regripped with a grip that works with the sensors. And now the fucking thing is completely different, feels super light and shitty.
