i see a lot of this online from women AND men. "everyone thinks i'm way younger than my age!!!" - no, people are literally just being polite and you're embarrassing yourself by taking it at face value and announcing it on the internet.
ever since i turned 30 five years ago, virtually every time someone asks my age and i tell them, their reaction is, "omg really? i thought you were 25!" and my takeaway IS NOT that i look 25, it's that people have a weird compulsion to tell 30+ women that they look younger than their age to be nice. i know when someone asks me to guess their age i subtract 3-5 to be safe and i assume people do even more dramatic reductions when they VOLUNTEER a number.

yeah people say a lot of shit to be polite. I say Happy Kwanza to every Black I meet. I don't actually wish them a happy kwanza but I say it out of social pressure.
You're saying my barber complimenting my Hair is just trying to get a tip and doesn't actually get semi sexually aroused at its immaculate texture and density?
wow tyty. someone told me that last month actually! some producer dood, he said i should get into acting and said i had a similar vibe to her.
i dressed up as her Waterboy character for my friend's Adam Sandler bday party a few years ago: https://imgur.com/a/Y1SgHv0 (lol way harsher lighting in this one)

Nice. producer dude was probably trying to rub his weird reptilian genitals on you but i have no ulterior motives because i am too timid to even get on rocket league voice chat
rofl yeah it was a swinger couple, we were there because my friend's friend was bringing them coke, they def would've banged me if i wanted to but ya it's a 1800000 comparison
We just think this because we are comparing ourselves to our Sahara-dry boomer parents. Now, we just look like the age we are relative to our generation.
yes, accurate, but our only reference frame for this is older generations, as we are the first hydrated/sunscreened generation, so we just didn't know what it looked like. in the next generation people won't say this as often. it's a benign delusion imo.
among millennials, everyone lies to each other about how young we look, and it's a mere universal pleasantry. it's far more insidious the way that some women--and this is gen z too--will tell their clearly not hot friends that they're hot. this is obvious to see online in comment sections, for instance, but it happens all the time irl too. toxic positivity.
ohhh interesting, i don't think it's bad to hype up your friends, unless it's like you talk them up when they look bad and down when they look good or something. it has to be hype relative to their potential.
nah no desire to. i wanna adopt a teenager if anything... the whole raising a kid from birth doesn't appeal to me. i did freeze some eggs as a backup option if adoption doesn't pan out or something changes my mind at a time where it's too late to conceive naturally. but i very much don't want to reproduce. i would feel guilty creating a new life when there are so many kids who need homes, and that's just one reason of like 10
i froze like a million eggs though (25), my fertility stats were off the charts. i did it right before i turned 33 and the doctor was raving over my OVARIAN RESERVE which would be exceptional for a woman of ANY age but was particularly so for my age
cr i kinda did walk around feeling superior when i got my numbers back, it was like that. i'd just assume i was more fertile than everyone in any room i was in
The point being a lot of Millennials started with a lot more personal care habits at a much earlier age than a lot of Boomers and GenXers to prevent aging. They look better for it. When you watch The Santa Clause or Father of Bride or others 90s shit you realize this what 38 years old looked like to *Hollywood* back then. You look better than most of these people, and it's insane.
yeah i guess it's just like, ok yes our generation looks remarkable compared to the past but every individual millennial doesn't have to go around thinking they're special... this is just what people look like now.
it was SPS because i hadn't slept AND had just flown across the country a few days before, which dries the shit out of my skin for a couple weeks no matter what i do
