I've mentioned elsewhere, but I've come to terms with it. It's not like he just sometimes yelled because I didn't clean my childhood bedroom and I'm being a baby. |

It's a tragically comic contrast and difficult to know what the best balance is...
I'm at least grateful that I've become really close / best friends with my dad since he's retired....
