Basic economics of tariffs (MAGA morons don't click)

Despite this, leveling tariffs on allied countries is a horrific act of betrayal, because it will hurt their economy.
Additionally, our economy will be destroyed and they'll be laughing all the way to the bank when they implement retaliatory tariffs against us.
