i agree with poaster above that there's no guarantee treasuries go down. if he wrecks the economy and bonds don't follow, whatever policy actions they take for the recovery will be inflationary and bonds will explode. its hard to believe they're going to really fix the debt/deficit without enormous cuts to healthcare and defense along with higher taxes. they're chipping away at the edges but it's kind of fake. also they want to pass yuge tax cuts. so there's still a lot to be skeptical about for the 10/20/30 year buyers. |
